NHK Lesson #1:

Sentences:
はじめまして。Hajimemashite. How do you do?
私は______です。Watashi wa _____desu. I'm _____. (Literally: I ____ is.)
______から来ました。_____kara kimashita. I'm from _____. (Literally: ____from come.)
よろしくおねがいします。Yoroshiku onegaishimasu. It's nice to meet you.

Grammar Points:
Past Tense - -ます ---> -ました

Greetings:
こんにちは Good afternoon.
おはよう（ございます）Good morning.
こんばんは Good evening.
さようなら Goodbye

NHK Lesson #2:

Sentences:
______さん...　______san... ______...
これがあなたの______です。Kore ga anata no ______desu. This is your ______. (Literally: This your _____ is.)
ありがと(うございます)。Arigatou (gozaimasu). Thank you (very much).
それは何ですか。Sore wa nan desu ka. What is that? (Literally: That what is?)

NHK Lesson #3:

Sentences:

でてください。Dete kudasai. Please go.

ばしょはどこですか。Basho wa doko desu ka. Where is the place? (Literally: Place where is?)

Grammar Points:
Negative Form- -ます ---> -ません

NHK Lesson #4:

Sentences:
いま何時ですか。Ima nanji desu ka. What time is it now? (Literally: Now what hour is?)
４時１５分です。Yonji jyuugofun desu. It is 4:15. (Literally: 4 hour 15 minute is.)
______は何時におわりますか。_____wa nanji ni owarimasu ka. What time does _____ finish? (Literally: ____ what hour at ends?)
５時ごろですよ。Goji goro desu yo. Around 5 o'clock. (Literally: 5 hour about is.)

NHK Lesson#5:

Sentences:
______さん、一しょにかえりませんか。 _____san, issho ni kaerimasen ka. ____, shall we go together? (Literally: _____, together to go?)
ごめんなさい。Gomennasai. Sorry.
まだしごとがおわりません。Mada shigoto ga owarimasen. I'm still not finished with work. (Literally: Still work not finished.)
______もてつだってください。_____mo tetsudatte kudasai. _____, can you please help me? (Literally: _____also help please.)
えーと、今日はざんぎょうできません。Etto, kyou wa zangyou dekimasen. Um, I can't work overtime today. (Literally: Um, today overtime is not.)


Grammar Points:
Invitational Expression - -ます ---> -ませんか
Please _____. - verb-て ください。

Cultural Notes:
Common work hours from 9am-5pm.
'Flex' schedules spreading.
Guilty to leave before boss, must express apologies by saying: おさきにしつれいします (I'm very sorry to leave before you!)
